Muhammad Hamza Sohail Khan is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan. His practice has developed across civil and constitutional litigation, corporate and commercial advisory, white collar matters, arbitration, mediation and cross border mandates. He appears before trial courts, special courts, tribunals and High Courts across Pakistan and advises clients whose affairs extend to the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.

His professional journey began well before he established his own firm. Raised in a military family, he spent part of his childhood in the United States and later attended a military boarding school in Pakistan. The discipline of that upbringing remained with him when he entered practice. He began as a research associate in the Office of the Advocate General, working alongside the Advocate General at the High Court for two years. He then joined the Advocate General's law firm, where he spent a further five years and progressed from associate to senior litigation counsel. Those years placed him close to the law in its most practical form: incomplete records, contested facts, urgent relief, institutional decision making and the responsibility of standing before a court for another person's cause.

The courtroom provided his foundation, but the needs of his clients steadily widened the practice. He went on to serve as senior corporate counsel to multinationals and conglomerates, advising on commercial and vendor contracts, credit and insurance facilities, intellectual property, data privacy, regulatory compliance and decisions requiring attention at board level. He holds an LLM in International Commercial and Dispute Resolution, with a specialisation in arbitration, from the United Kingdom. He is accredited internationally as a mediator under IMI and CMC standards, has acted as counsel and as an appointed arbitrator in Pakistan, and has worked on international disputes alongside established overseas firms.

MHSK & Partners grew from what he had repeatedly seen in practice. Individuals often reached counsel only after a right had been compromised; businesses sought advice after an agreement had already created the risk; overseas clients were expected to make important decisions from a distance, without reliable information or a lawyer who remained accountable for the whole instruction. His vision was to build the kind of firm he believed those clients should have had from the beginning: one that explains the position before proposing a course, treats prevention as seriously as litigation, understands the commercial consequence of legal advice and remains candid about what it can and cannot undertake. Where specialist knowledge is required, the right counsel is brought in. Where the answer is difficult, it is still given plainly. For him, genuine representation means that a client knows where the matter stands, why a step is being taken and who remains responsible for carrying it through.
